Know Thyself

Know Thyself

What are boundaries? What is entanglement? And why do they leave us feeling both separate and uncomfortable all at once? I wonder about this often.

A boundary carries a subtle connotation of “negative.” I must set a boundary because I do not want to let this in. I must use discernment to decide what I will allow into my life, my relationships, my experience. But what if we were to take boundaries, entanglement, and discernment to a higher level of awareness? What if we shed new light upon them and offered a different perspective to navigate from?

The moment you feel the impulse to set a boundary, what is really happening? A feeling arises within you, a signal of dissonance, a discomfort, a lack of resonance. That feeling is the true pointer. It is an invitation to move deeper into your own inner space. Yet, so often, the mind takes control, offering reasons and justifications for why you should or should not engage. The trigger is calling you home, to your true self, your true desires, your true knowing.

And yet, instead of honoring that signal, you place the boundary outside yourself. You project the discomfort onto another person, or onto the experience itself, believing it to be siphoning your light. But in essence, it is not the other—it is you. You chose, consciously or not, to ignore the inner voice that first whispered at the incubation point of the dilemma. The dissonance arose, and rather than turning inward, you turned away.

But, as one knows thyself, one needs no boundary. As one is thyself, one cannot be entangled. As one speaks thyself, discernment is not a tool of separation but a natural emanation of truth.

Perhaps humanity has used these words—boundary, entanglement, discernment—as containers of protection. Containers to hold what it has not wanted to face. In doing so, one bypasses the self, housing the discomfort of the “not-self” within these very concepts. I must have a boundary. I must be discerning. I must not be entangled. But what if you saw these not as protections, but as mirrors? Vessels reflecting back the places within where you have veered off into fear, separation, or judgment.

I offer you this. Can you call yourself out without fear? Can you meet yourself in honesty, without deflection? For when you do, the need for boundaries, discernment, and fear of entanglement dissolves. Your frequency itself becomes the container, the vessel, the crucible.

At this state of perceptual awareness, one knows Thyself as the Creator of their reality and from the deepest seat of freedom, you declare,
I am the both the reflected and the reflection of my choice to Be.
